ARTIST RE-IGNITES THE BLUES INTRODUCING THE GENRE TO A NEW GENERATION

Charlotte, NC – American Soul artist Lacee is the epitome of “blues” in R&B.  This emerging newcomer to the music industry is igniting the blues genre, re-introducing its rich heritage and sound to a vast mainstream audience.  A versatile artist with a diverse fan base, Lacee appeals to young and mature audiences.  Her long-awaited CD, “Lacee’s Groove” is scheduled for release July 14th.

Raised in the Deep South, the Memphis, Tennessee native possesses the wind chimes and charming personality of a southern belle.  Her voice has a classic style of ‘old school’, in an era where sampling “classics” is a trend.  However, Lacee is no “sample” or one to copy trends, but rather an artist that is able to paint a picture of nostalgia with her voice.  She has graced the same stage alongside legendary talent as J. Blackfoot, Bobby Womack, Glenn Jones and Lenny Williams.  Her soulful performances are electrifying and serve well while having shared the spotlight with Grammy-nominated Calvin Richardson, Tyrese and Lebrado.

An artist whose first love is music without question, Lacee is also an activist supporting worthy causes that transforms lives.  She is a supporter of The Sighlent Storm (www.sighlentstorm.com), a domestic violence organization that speaks out on behalf of abused victims.  After a close friend became a victim and died as a result of a domestic violence dispute, Lacee chose to use her voice and resources to become an advocate.  A non-traditional triple-threat she’s added actress to her accolades and accomplishments.  Lacee will be featured on the Heart and Soul Reality TV Show.
